Angkor Wat - Cambodia

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat

In 2016, having discovered a passion for travel photography, I made it my mission to travel to Cambodia to visit the temples and ruins of Angkor Wat; an ancient Buddhist Temple complex, built Khmer-style, that dates back approximately 900 years, and remains an active prayer site to this day. It contains 72 temples and is the highlight of any visit to the city of Siem Reap.

I decided to stay the weekend at a small boutique hotel called Silk D’Angkor Boutique, which provided me with a personal tuk-tuk driver for the duration of my visit. His name was Neath Noun and I will always remember him as the kindest, sweetest, and most knowledgable driver I’ve ever experienced during my travels. He was amazing and deserves a big shout-out! We need to honor and appreciate the people who allow us to have these experiences and invite us into their countries, their homes, and their hearts.

Since traveling oversas is currently on hold, it became a hobby of mine to dig through old, forgotten travel pictures and travel back virtually; one blog post at a time. Ready to travel with me?
